OFFERS A BROAD RANGE OF GENETIC MODIFICATIONS IN MICE USING CRISPR/Cas9 METHODOLOGY and other molecular biology services
This facility is based on cooperation between Prof. Andrzej Dziembowski (International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw) and Prof. Ewa Borsuk (Department of Embryology, Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw), whereby knowledge about RNA biology is combined with expertise in manipulating an early embryo.
Since 2014 we have generated several dozens of different mouse lines with mutations in locus (indels, point mutations, tags). To integrate large constructs like the EGFP coding sequence we have developed an efficient procedure for generation of long ssDNA donors. The extraordinary success rate which is approximately 90% prompted us to open this core facility to supply the scientific community with quickly generated transgenic animal models at reasonable prices.
